The Briercliffe Club has addopted the Burnley & Pendle Hospice as its main chartiy fund raising and has held numorous events over the last 18 months and still continues to do so.
The Viking on Tour Show
Mr Phillip Levens who is a member of the club ran the Lausanne Marathon Switzerland on 22nd October2006 raising over £600 for Pendleside Hospice.
Briercliffe Working Men’s Club present another fantastic donation.
A cheque presentation was held at Briercliffe Working Men’s Club to handover the wonderful amount of £1,316 to Pendleside Hospice.
Part of the money was raised by former Burnley police officer, Phillip Levens, who ran the Lausanne Marathon in Switzerland, which raised more than £500. The rest of the money was raised by an annual concert on Saturday 24th February, which included a raffle and entertainment by Comedy Duo featuring Mischief.
Members of the committee presented the cheque to Pendleside Hospice.
Gemma Bayliffe Fundraising Assistant of the Hospice said “We are very grateful for all the continuing support we receive from Briercliffe Working Men’s Club to help fund Pendleside Hospice.”
